Sri Lanka… the blessed island of the Indian Ocean! – 10 Days

Arrive in the bustling capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. After a warm welcome from our representatives, we will have a city tour, visiting landmarks such as the old Parliament building, Independence Square, Galle Road, and various churches, mosques, and Hindu temples that showcase the island's historical rulers. The tour ends with lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the largest of its kind in the world, founded in 1975. Located by a river, it houses around 100 elephants, including many rescued from the wild. Next, we continue to the impressive Dambulla caves, home to a Buddhist temple filled with beautiful wall paintings and statues of Buddha. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. After breakfast, we will visit the famous Sigiriya Rock, a 250-meter-high fortress, often referred to as the "Lion's Fortress." Built in 477 AD, it features royal gardens and a massive lion statue at the entrance. We then proceed to Kandy, stopping in Matale to visit a spice garden. In Kandy, we will explore the Temple of the Tooth, which houses Buddha's sacred tooth relic. The day ends with a traditional cultural dance performance. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we head to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country. On the way, we will visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, home to a variety of plants and flowers. We will also stop at a tea plantation to observe the tea production process. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England," we will check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we head to Ella, one of the most beautiful towns in Sri Lanka. Along the way, we will see the Ravana Waterfalls, Little Adam's Peak, and the Nine Arches Bridge, a famous landmark. If we're lucky, we might catch a glimpse of a passing train. Continue to Yala and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay

This day promises excitement with a safari in Yala National Park, where you can spot elephants, leopards, monkeys, crocodiles, and rare bird species. After breakfast, we head to the West Coast, stopping at Mirissa and the colonial city of Galle, famous for its fort, built by the Portuguese and later expanded by the Dutch. The Galle Fort is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, full of shops and cafes. We continue to the West Coast for some relaxation by the beautiful beaches. Check-in at the hotel. After breakfast, we will depart for Colombo, where you'll have free time for shopping. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner. Then, transfer to the airport for the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca on the 10th day, filled with unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka's rich history, myths, lush mountains, and stunning turquoise beaches.
