8 Days Italian Panorama

Breakfast and departure for a guided tour of the city. We will visit the Colosseum, the largest ancient amphitheater in the world, the Arch of Constantine, and the Roman Forum. Passing through the Imperial Fora, we will reach the Capitoline Hill and Piazza Venezia with its imposing monument dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified modern Italy. We will also see the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can toss a coin and make a wish, and the bustling Spanish Steps at Piazza di Spagna, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. Later, we will visit the Vatican and the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world, built over the tomb of St. Peter. Among other treasures, we will view Michelangelo’s famous sculpture, the Pietà. The rest of the day is free to explore the picturesque neighborhoods of Rome, such as Trastevere, known for its cobblestone streets, lively restaurants, and bars, evoking scenes from classic Italian films. Overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for the medieval city of Siena, known for its stunning central Piazza del Campo, surrounded by medieval palaces and the cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, one of Italy's most important cathedrals. Next, we will visit Pisa, home to the famous Leaning Tower, one of the most photographed landmarks in the world. Afterward, we continue to Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, arriving in the late afternoon and checking into the hotel. Overnight.

After breakfast, we embark on a guided tour of Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our panoramic tour will take us to Piazza San Giovanni with the Baptistery of St. John, the Renaissance Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and Brunelleschi’s famous dome. We will continue to Piazza della Signoria, home to the Fountain of Neptune and the Palazzo Vecchio, which now houses the city's Town Hall. We will also visit the famous Uffizi Gallery (exterior), the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge with its jewelry shops, and Piazza Repubblica, one of the central squares with historic cafés. Free time to visit the San Lorenzo Market or the Pitti Palace, the former residence of the Medici family. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for Venice. On the way, we will visit the Ferrari Museum, opened in 1990, showcasing models and engines from the renowned car manufacturer. Next, we stop in Verona, home to the famous Roman Arena and the charming Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, surrounded by well-preserved medieval buildings. We will also visit the “Capulet House” with Juliet's famous balcony. Afterward, we proceed to Venice and check into our hotel in Mestre. Overnight.

After breakfast, we embark on a guided tour of Venice, the most romantic city in the world, built on 118 small islands connected by around 410 bridges. We will take the Vaporetto (waterbus) to the Castello district, home to the Orthodox Church of St. George and the Byzantine Institute. We will also see the impressive Doge’s Palace in Venetian-Gothic style and end at Piazza San Marco, where we find the famous St. Mark’s Cathedral, the Campanile, the Clock Tower, and the Marciana Library. Finally, we will visit one of the few Murano glass workshops. Free time and return to the hotel. Overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for the Umbria region, the “green heart of Italy.” Our first stop is Ravenna, a picturesque city known for its Byzantine mosaics. We will continue to the medieval village of Gubbio, where we will see important monuments such as the Roman Theater, Palazzo dei Consoli, and the Cathedral. Our final destination is Perugia, the capital of Umbria, with its stunning views over green valleys and its rich Renaissance heritage. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.

After breakfast, we explore Perugia, visiting Corso Vannucci, Rocca Paolina, and the medieval streets. We will also visit the famous Piazza Novembre with the Fontana Maggiore, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, and the Palazzo dei Priori. We then proceed to the unique town of Orvieto, located in southwestern Umbria. There, we will see the Gothic Cathedral, the Pozzo di San Patrizio (a 60-meter deep well with a double helix staircase), and the 14th-century Albornoz Fortress. Afterward, we head to Rome’s airport for the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca late in the evening, filled with unforgettable memories of Italy’s rich culture and history.
