Diamonds of the Ionian

After breakfast, departure for the seaside resort of Syvota, considered the Mykonos of the Ionian Sea, embraced by the sea in a unique way. Free time for swimming or a boat ride to nearby islands and beaches. Next stop is the idyllic Parga, which uniquely combines the mountain and the sea. Free time to walk through the picturesque streets and climb up to the castle for stunning photos. Return to the hotel for rest.

After breakfast, our journey starts at the historic Zalongo, the site of the Suliot women’s sacrifice, where we will visit the legendary Monastery of Agios Dimitrios. Our next stop will be at the Acheron Springs, recognized as an area of outstanding beauty by the European Network Natura 2000. Free time for a walk under the plane trees or in the river. We continue to Ammoudia, where the Acheron River, known from mythology, meets the sea. Enjoy a boat ride along the river’s water paths. Early afternoon return to the hotel.

After breakfast, the day is free. We suggest a full-day cruise to Corfu or a full-day cruise in the Ambracian Gulf, where you may have the chance to see dolphins and sea turtles in a stunning landscape.

After breakfast, departure for Lefkada. Our first stop will be at the Monastery of Faneromeni for a magnificent view, then we continue to Nidri, the most touristy resort of Lefkada. Free time for a stroll and optional cruise to the islands of Skorpios and Madouri. We will then visit the picturesque narrow streets of Lefkada town and have free time for lunch. Return to the hotel.

After breakfast, we embark on a full-day excursion to Ioannina. Our first stop will be the Vreli Museum with its wax figurines. We will then continue to the pier, where we will board boats to reach the legendary island of Kyra-Frosyni on Lake Pamvotis. We will visit the Monastery of Agios Panteleimon (now a folklore museum) where Ali Pasha sought refuge, the 13th-century Monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Filanthropinon, and walk through its cobbled streets. Free time for an optional lunch. We will return by boat to Ioannina, where we will visit the Castle, which houses some of the most important attractions. Free time in the market of Ioannina before returning to Preveza late in the afternoon.

After breakfast, transfer to the port of Parga for a unique cruise. Boarding the boat, we will first enter the mysterious sea caves, followed by a visit to Antipaxos where you can swim in its crystal-clear waters. The journey continues to Paxos with the enchanting harbor of Gaios. Free time for lunch at one of the taverns by the sea or for shopping in the narrow streets. Return to the hotel late in the afternoon. Overnight.

After breakfast, check-out and departure for the airport, filled with beautiful memories of the Ionian’s gems. Flight to Larnaca.
