Trikala, Volos, and Athens

Breakfast and departure for Meteora, a landscape that captivates with its natural rock formations and monasteries perched on the rocks. Time to visit one of the monasteries and enjoy the mesmerizing view. We will descend towards Kastraki, which offers a unique view of the first rocks of Meteora. Continuing to Kalambaka, there will be free time for lunch and a visit to the Natural History and Mushroom Museum, as well as a Byzantine icon workshop. Return to the hotel. In the early afternoon, we head towards the beautiful resorts of Pindos, Pyli and Elati, with their traditional mansions and cobblestone alleys around the central squares. Return to Trikala, and in the evening, we recommend enjoying local meze dishes at the taverns in the center of Trikala. Overnight.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Trikala and head towards the artificial Lake Plastira. Our first stop will be at the Monastery of Panagia Korona, built by Emperor John II Comnenus in the early 12th century. We then continue to the lakeside village of Lampero and the beautiful Neochori, where we will have free time for lunch. The final destination for the day is Volos. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. In the evening, we will take a walk along the waterfront, with its picturesque shops and famous tsipouradika (taverns) offering unique seafood mezes. Overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for Achilleio, from where we will take the ferry for our cruise, enjoying the scenic coastlines of northern Evia and the southern side of Mount Pelion. We arrive in Skiathos town and have free time to explore the island of Papadiamantis and stroll through its picturesque streets. Then, we board the ferry to Koukounaries, Skiathos’ largest and most beautiful beach, where we can enjoy a swim. During the return trip, various activities will be organized for all passengers to enjoy until we arrive back at the port. We return to Volos in the late afternoon. After breakfast, we head to the beautiful Pelion, the mountain of Centaurs, where mythology, history, tradition, culture, and natural beauty combine to offer the traveler unique experiences. We will tour the traditional villages of Portaria, Makrinitsa, Hania, and the village of Kissos, with its impressive church of Agia Marina, known for its remarkable frescoes, and the school where Rigas Ferreos taught. We return to Volos, and the rest of the day is free. Overnight stay.

After breakfast, we depart for Athens. We will cross to the island of Evia, traveling from Glyfa to Agiokampos, then continue to the spa town of Aidipsos and to Prokopi, where we will visit the body of Saint John the Russian. Our next stop will be the beautiful city of Chalkida. Our final destination for the day is Athens, where we arrive in the afternoon and check-in to the hotel. Overnight stay.

After breakfast, the day is free for you to enjoy. We recommend visiting the beautiful shopping district of Athens and walking near the Acropolis Hill, where you can explore the old neighborhoods of Plaka, Psiri, and Thiseio, which also offer great food.

After breakfast and some free time, we leave for the Athenian Riviera, a stunning coastal route along the Saronic Gulf that stretches from Flisvos Marina to Sounion. We will pass through Glyfada, Voula, Lake Vouliagmeni, and make a stop at Varkiza to enjoy the beautiful organized beaches and have fresh fish and seafood mezes at the traditional tavernas and ouzeries. On the way to Sounion, we will pass through Lagonisi and Saronida. We have free time to visit Sounion and admire the Temple of Poseidon, taking in the magnificent view and taking photos. Afterward, we continue to the airport for our flight back to Larnaca.
