We then continue to Patras, where we will visit the imposing Church of Saint Andrew, adorned with unique frescoes, and explore the Upper Town, home to the Patras Castle. Take some time to stroll around and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. After lunch, we depart for the charming town of Nafpaktos, crossing the Rio-Antirrio Bridge. Explore the town center, with its traditional houses, the Venetian harbor with its two picturesque towers at the entrance, and the well-preserved castle. In the late afternoon, check into our hotel, settle in, and overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Mesologi, a city synonymous with freedom and the arts. Visit the Garden of Heroes, a historic site featuring 50 monuments commemorating the Greek War of Independence. Stroll through the city’s harbor, the central square with its Town Hall, and pedestrian streets lined with cafés and restaurants. Next, explore the Mesologi Lagoon, one of Europe’s most important wetlands and Greece’s largest. Visit the unique Salt Museum, dating back to 1946, where salt workers once lived. Learn about salt varieties, colors, uses, and the history of White and Black Salt Pans. Enjoy lunch overlooking the lagoon, and return to Nafpaktos in the late afternoon for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to Aitoliko, known as “Little Venice,” a vibrant town built on an islet amidst lagoons. Cross the two stone-arched bridges, dating back to the late 19th century and recognized as historical landmarks, to reach this charming location. Wander through the traditional alleys at your leisure. Continue to Lake Trichonida, Greece’s largest lake, spanning over 95 square kilometers, and home to abundant fish and diverse wildlife. Stop for lunch before returning to Nafpaktos in the afternoon. Overnight stay.
Enjoy breakfast and depart for Lefkada. The first stop is the Faneromeni Monastery, where you can admire breathtaking views. Then, explore the narrow streets of Lefkada town. Continue to Nidri, the island’s most popular tourist resort, where you’ll have free time to take an optional cruise to the nearby islands of Skorpios and Madouri. Enjoy lunch before heading back to Nafpaktos in the late afternoon for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, travel to the elegant and picturesque town of Galaxidi. Walk through its five traditional squares and visit the Church of Saint Nicholas at the town’s highest point, featuring a masterful wooden iconostasis, two bell towers, and an impressive dome. The Church of Saint Nicholas, along with Saint Paraskevi’s Church, are the city’s top pilgrimage sites. Continue to Arachova, the jewel of Mount Parnassus, where you’ll have free time for a stroll and coffee. After lunch, transfer to Athens International Airport for your return flight to Larnaca.
