Booking Confirmation and Cancellation Policy

  • Booking Confirmation: A 30% deposit of the trip’s total cost is required.
  • Full Payment: Must be made at least 21 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation up to 45 days before departure: €100 withheld for administrative costs.
  • Cancellation between 44 and 31 days before departure: 30% of the trip’s cost withheld.
  • Cancellation between 30 and 21 days before departure: 50% of the trip’s cost withheld.
  • Cancellation 20 days or less before departure: Full trip cost withheld.

For chartered services, cruises, skiing, exhibitions, conferences, and similar international events, cancellation fees can reach up to 100% of the total cost, regardless of the notice date.

Day 1 Larnaca – Athens – Corinth – Cave of Kapsia – Vytina – Lagadia – Olympia

Gathering at Larnaca Airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, transfer, and departure with the first stop at the Corinth Canal. We continue to the Cave of Kapsia, located in the Mantineia region. We will visit the very interesting cave, with its rich decoration of colorful stalagmites and stalactites. Next, we visit the charming Vytina, where we will stay for optional lunch. We continue our journey through the lush nature of mountainous Arcadia, to reach and make a stop at Lagadia. Our final destination is Olympia. Check-in at the hotel, free time, and then dinner at the rich buffet of the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2 Guided Tour of Ancient Olympia – Katakolon

After breakfast, we will have a guided tour of the archaeological site of Olympia, a beautiful sacred place where the greatest values of sports were born, and athletes emerged as global human and athletic icons. During the tour, we will see, among other things, the Temple of Zeus, the Gymnasium, the Stadium that hosted up to 40,000 spectators, and the Altar of Hera, where the Olympic flame is lit every 4 years for the Summer Olympic Games.

A short distance away is the Museum, which houses priceless exhibits such as the Hermes of Praxiteles, the Winged Victory of Paionios, and more.

Later, we will visit the monument to Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, before continuing to the coastal town of Katakolon. There, we will visit the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology and Musical Instruments by Kostas Kotsanas, which features over 200 working models of mechanisms and inventions from ancient Greek civilization.

You will have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch in the picturesque harbor.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Day Trip – Zakynthos Cruise

 

After breakfast, we will transfer to the port of Kyllini, where we will board the ferry for the "Fiore di Levante" (Flower of the East), as the Latins called Zakynthos. The ferry ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Upon arrival, we will visit the patron saint of the island, St. Dionysios. His relics are kept in the church, and tradition holds that he protected the church from the earthquake that devastated Zakynthos in 1953.

Next, we will head to Strani Hill, where Dionysios Solomos was inspired to write the "Hymn to Liberty" and "The Free Besieged."

We will return to Zakynthos Town, where you will have free time to explore the central square.

In the late afternoon, we will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 Kalamata

Today is dedicated to the capital of Messinia. After breakfast, we will depart for Kalamata. Our first stop will be at the Monastery of the Resurrection of Christ, located along the coastal road of Kalamata. We will then continue to the Metropolitan Church of the Presentation of the Virgin (Ypapanti), and visit the Monastery of the Calogreous, which was famous for its silk shawls, renowned throughout Greece. We will also admire the old castle, where Princess Izambo once lived, among other historical sites.

You will have some free time to enjoy a coffee and shop at the rich market of Kalamata.

In the late afternoon, we will return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Kiparissia – Pylos

After breakfast, we depart for Kiparissia, a town with a rich historical legacy reflected in the many monuments of the area. We will have a short tour and a coffee break at the beautiful beach of the town.

Next, we continue to Pylos, a town built amphitheatrically at the western tip of Messinia, famous for the Battle of Navarino. Here, we will visit the renowned Pylos Castle, explore the Three Admirals Square, and have the option to visit the martyr island Sfaktiria.

You will have some free time for lunch and ice cream before returning to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Olympia – Patras – Athens – Larnaca

After breakfast, we depart for Patras. Our first stop will be at the impressive Saint Andrew's Church, followed by a visit to the center of Patras for a short tour and free time to explore the area.

In the early afternoon, we will head to Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) for our return flight to Larnaca.

  • Baggage: One checked luggage up to 20 kg and one hand luggage up to 8 kg.
  • Accommodation: 5 nights at the 4* AMALIA Hotel in Olympia.
