6 Days Rome – Naples – Capri – The Enchanting Amalfi Coast

After breakfast, we head to Salerno to board a boat for a scenic cruise on the Tyrrhenian Sea. First stop: Positano, perched on a cliff with colorful houses and narrow alleys. Once a quiet fishing village, it’s now a top seaside retreat. Free time to explore. Then, on to Amalfi, nestled in a dramatic coastal setting. During our walk, we’ll admire noble mansions and the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, a blend of Byzantine, Arab, and Gothic architecture. Return to Naples in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for the archaeological site of Pompeii, which was buried under volcanic ash and lava from Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. During our guided tour, we will see Porta Marina, the ancient marketplace, the theatre, the temples of Jupiter and Apollo, the baths, and luxurious villas with famous frescoes (1st century BC), offering a comprehensive view of ancient Roman art. We then continue our journey to Rome. Upon arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight stay in Rome.

After breakfast, we begin our city tour of Rome. We will see the Colosseum, the world’s largest ancient amphitheater, the Arch of Constantine, and the Roman Forum. Passing through the Imperial Forums Road, we’ll reach Capitoline Hill and Piazza Venezia, featuring the massive and impressive monument to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy. We will also visit the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can toss a coin and make a wish, and the bustling Piazza di Spagna, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, with the magnificent Spanish Steps and adjacent church forming a postcard-perfect scene. We continue to Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world, built over the Apostle’s tomb, where among other masterpieces, we will see Michelangelo’s renowned sculpture “La Pietà.”
The rest of the day is free for your personal explorations. Discover the picturesque neighborhoods of Rome, like Trastevere, which has preserved its authenticity over time. Cobblestone alleys filled with restaurants and lively bars create a cinematic atmosphere reminiscent of old Italian films. Overnight stay in Rome.

After breakfast, free time at your disposal. Later, transfer to Rome airport for your return flight to Larnaca. Arrival late in the evening, filled with unforgettable images of breathtaking landscapes and authentic cities visited during this unique journey.
