Highlights

  • At approximately 5:30 a.m., minibuses from the balloon company will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the launch site. Before sunrise, the balloons will already be in the sky, ascending up to 1,000 meters, moving slowly along the Goreme Valley for about one hour.
  • Flights may be canceled on the scheduled day due to wind conditions—even winds as low as 2 Beaufort can prevent takeoff.
  • If the balloon does manage to take off in breezy conditions, the flight may be shortened to 30–40 minutes and limited to an altitude of 200–300 meters.
  • Pricing depends on availability and may change from day to day. Even if you reserve a spot, the price is not guaranteed for the following day.
