After breakfast, we begin our city tour of Rome. We will see the Colosseum, the world’s largest ancient amphitheater, the Arch of Constantine, and the Roman Forum. Passing through the Imperial Forums Road, we’ll reach Capitoline Hill and Piazza Venezia, featuring the massive and impressive monument to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy. We will also visit the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can toss a coin and make a wish, and the bustling Piazza di Spagna, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, with the magnificent Spanish Steps and adjacent church forming a postcard-perfect scene. We continue to Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world, built over the Apostle’s tomb, where among other masterpieces, we will see Michelangelo’s renowned sculpture “La Pietà.”
The rest of the day is free for your personal explorations. Discover the picturesque neighborhoods of Rome, like Trastevere, which has preserved its authenticity over time. Cobblestone alleys filled with restaurants and lively bars create a cinematic atmosphere reminiscent of old Italian films. Overnight stay in Rome.
