Gather at Larnaca Airport and board your flight to Athens. Upon arrival, meet your guide and depart for the Peloponnese. We will make a short stop at the Corinth Canal, then continue to the historic town of Nafplio. Check-in at our hotel and enjoy some free time to explore the Old Town on your own. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the romantic city of Nafplio. We'll begin at the Land Gate, the only entrance during the Venetian era. Passing by the spot where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of Greece, was assassinated, we will reach Syntagma Square, surrounded by beautiful Venetian and neoclassical buildings. Key sites include the Vouleftiko (Old Parliament House) and the Archaeological Museum. Strolling through the charming alleys of the Old Town feels like stepping into a fairytale.
We'll ascend to Acronafplia, Nafplio’s ancient acropolis, to enjoy panoramic views. Our walk will end at the port, in front of the famous Bourtzi Castle, a Venetian fortress built on a small islet – the city's signature landmark. Finally, we will visit the Palamidi Fortress. The rest of the day is free for personal activities.
After breakfast, we depart for the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, considered the best-preserved ancient theatre in Greece and beyond. The Epidaurus archaeological site is primarily known for this magnificent structure, which was later added to the sacred healing site of the Asklepieion, dedicated to Asclepius, god of medicine. With a capacity of 13,000 spectators, the theatre was also believed to play a therapeutic role for patients through drama and art.
Its excellent preservation is due to being buried for centuries under layers of earth.
We then continue to the nearby village of Lygourio, known for its traditional tavernas, where you’ll have free time for lunch.
Arrival in Athens in the late afternoon and check-in at our hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. The entire day is at your leisure.
We recommend exploring Athens' vibrant market, taking a fun 60-minute city tour on the Happy Train, or simply relaxing at a seaside café in Glyfada or Voula. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Stroll through the picturesque streets of Plaka, or sip your coffee in Thissio with views of the Acropolis.
In the early afternoon, transfer to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport for your return flight to Larnaca.
