Meet at Larnaca Airport for your flight to Thessaloniki. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Thessaloniki. The rest of the day is free for you to explore. In the evening, you can attend the Resurrection service at a nearby church, followed by a traditional Easter dinner with "mageiritsa" (Easter soup). Overnight at the hotel.
Easter Day! Christ is Risen! After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Pozar Hot Springs for relaxation. Next, enjoy a festive Easter meal with roasted lamb at a traditional tavern. In the late afternoon, visit the town of Edessa, famous for its breathtaking beauty. Admire the "Karanos" waterfall and explore the picturesque canals with small bridges, as well as the historic district known as "Varosi," with its characteristic Macedonian architecture. Free time to explore. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, take a city tour of Thessaloniki to visit some of its remarkable monuments, such as the Arch of Galerius (Kamara), Byzantine churches, Agia Sophia, Aristotelous Square, Rotonda, and the White Tower. Continue to the Upper Town (Ano Poli) to see the Byzantine walls and enjoy panoramic views of the city. On the way down, stop to visit the Church of Saint Demetrius. Finally, discover the Thessaloniki Metro. The rest of the day is free. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for the Monastery of the Holy Prophet Elias in Serres, one of the most important and historic monastic centers in Macedonia. Spend some time for a religious visit. Then continue to Kerkini Lake, an artificial lake formed in 1932 by the damming of the Strymon River. Enjoy some free time for an optional boat tour to see the buffaloes and wild birds. Afterward, visit the picturesque village of Ano Poroi, located at the foot of Mount Beles. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for overnight stay
After breakfast, the day is free for shopping and exploring Thessaloniki at your own pace. In the afternoon, transfer to Thessaloniki Airport for your return flight to Larnaca.
